Suhit Gupta

Chief Information Officer, General Atlantic

Suhit Gupta is the Chief Information Officer at General Atlantic and leads the firm’s Global Information Technology team. In this role, Suhit oversees General Atlantic’s global information technology initiatives, including infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business applications. He also helps to drive technology-enabled solutions across the firm. 

Suhit is a senior technology manager and an expert in the field of technology transformation. His career has been focused on enabling firms to achieve enterprise class technology by helping them formulate, evaluate, and implement IT solutions, policies, and initiatives that propel the business. He has experience in IT Engineering, Operations, Application Development and Security. He specializes in organizational design, creation, and turnaround, solutions architecture, and strategy. 

Prior to General Atlantic, Suhit was the Chief Information Officer for the Solutions division at The Carlyle Group. He was responsible for driving maximum value for Carlyle’s $47B AUM Investment Solutions segment which offers Investment Management, Fund of Funds, and Managed Accounts services in Private Equity and Real Estate vehicles.

Suhit's previous roles have included being the Chief Technology Officer at Maverick Capital, Ltd., Technology Manager at Bridgewater Associates and Program Manager at Microsoft Corporation. Suhit holds a Ph.D., M.Phil. and M.S. in Computer Science from Columbia University and a B.S. in Math & Computer Science from Adelphi University.
